Reviews

"...excellent sound..."
– American Record Guide, March / April 2007
"Combine this with state-of-the-art "concert hall" recording technique, and you have a CD that is equally Perfecto: a fabulous recording that I cannot recommend highly enough."
– Ron Klimko, The Double Reed, 2008
"The sound is very naturally captured, as are all of the best MSR releases, without undue microphone placement on the soloists."

Performed by Nadina Mackie Jackson, bassoon; Guy Few, trumpet and corno; Toronto Chamber Orchestra conducted by Nicholas McGegan OBE. Virtuoso concerti by Johann Nepomuk Hummel for bassoon and trumpet respectively serve as opening and closing selections to this spectacularly performed and recorded CD. Also featured is a double concerto for corno and bassoon by Ignaz Lachner, and the Andante and Hungarian Rondo for bassoon and orchestra by Carl Maria von Weber.
